Inflammation is one of the most common causes of headaches and other pain in the human body, and unfortunately, inflammation happens a lot. Here are some foods that have vitamins, minerals, fiber and more, as well as prevent inflammation.

Ginger and Turmeric

Both of these are great at reducing inflammation and they have a great reputation with those who practice alternative medicine. Ginger also helps fight free radicals because of the gingerol it contains.

Onions & Garlic

Garlic actually closes down the inflammation paths for you and onions are anti-inflammatories plus they contain another substance that fights those nasty free radicals.

Berries contain great antioxidants, which reduce inflammation. That’s what gives berries their bright color. Strawberries, blueberries and cranberries are all great choices.

Leafy, Dark Greens

Broccoli, spinach, collard greens and of course, kale are all super for anti-inflammatory properties and for being high in minerals and nutrients your body needs. Juicing these veggies along with some fruit is a great way to get your daily dark greens.

Beets are one of the most underrated vegetables on the planet. Some athletes drink beet juice because of how good this particular food is. Not only do beets reduce inflammation, they are high in fiber, antioxidants, vitamin C and more.

Fatty Fish

Cold-water fish can usually be counted on to have high fat content, and those are the ones you want because they are high in Omega-3 fatty acids which reduce inflammation.

Whole Grains

Whenever you have the choice between whole grain and something else, always choose the whole grain. Whole grains are incredible for reducing inflammation, something that has been shown in research studies. Plus, whole grains have high fiber content.
