Chinese Chicken And Broccoli

simple and easy recipe of Chinese chicken and Kai-lan Chinese broccoli.


  • 3 chicken thighs
  • gai lan/Chinese broccoli
  • 1 tbsp light soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp sesame oil
  • sugar
  • 1 tbsp corn flour
  • 1 tbsp oyster sauce
  • 2 capfuls rice wine
  • 1/2 medium onion, chopped
  • ginger

Cooking Directions

1: Slice the Chicken and Gai Lan

Slice the chicken thighs to thin out the chicken, remove any knuckles or bones. Cut into thin strips. Add to a bowl. Slice the Chinese broccoli into nice bite-size slices.

 2: Prepare the Marinade

Add 1 tbsp light soy sauce to the bowl. Then add 1 tbsp sesame oil. Add a pinch of sugar. Mix until the sauce is absorbed by the chicken and the chicken is evenly covered. Add 1 tbsp of corn flour and mix again.

 3: Prepare the Sauce

Add 1-2 tbsp oyster sauce and 2 capfulls of rice wine to a separate bowl. Heat your wok to a high temperature, preferably smoking hot.

 4: Stir-Fry

Add 1/2 medium onion and stir fry. Once the onions are half-wilted, push them to the back of the wok. Add a little more oil to the pan, and bring it again to a good smoke. Add the Chinese broccoli and continue to stir fry. Add 5 slices of ginger, then add your chicken. Continue to stir fry.

5: Add the Sauce

Add your sauce, then lower the temperature. Bring the chicken into the sauce and allow the chicken to cook through. Check that the chicken is cooked, then dish onto a plate. Serve.
